At Modern Electric Co., the well-being of our customers, employees, vendors, and fellow contractors is a top priority. Safety comes first – no excuses. Our goal is for everyone who works with us to go home in the same condition they arrived in at work that day.

Our approach to safety includes OSHA 10 and 30 hour training for our Foreman. We utilize lockout/tagout procedures whenever there is the potential to come in contact with energized equipment and circuits. We conduct weekly toolbox talks at every jobsite. We furnish Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and training to all our Electricians as required for the specific job. We also participate in IBEW Drug Testing Programs. As a result of this commitment to safety, Modern Electric Co. has one of the lowest EMR ratings for Electrical Contractors in the state of New Jersey.

Modern Electric Co. has also met the requirements for White Platform Level participation in the Northern New Jersey NECA-IBEW-OSHA Construction Industry Partnership.
